The Pinellas facility is the largest waste-to-energy facility in the United States and processes 3000 tons per day of municipal solid waste from Pinellas County, Florida. At full capacity, the plant can generate 75,000 kilowatts of electrical energy for sale to Florida Power & Light Company.
